Millions of pounds of oyster shells are being recycled to help restore the Louisiana coast

NOLA.com’s Ian McNulty recently wrote an extensive and informative article about our partners, Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana, and their Oyster Shell Recycling Program that works with restaurants to collect their discarded shells and then use them to help restore the Louisiana coastline. Chefs Brigade (CB) has been a proud supporter of this program for a number of years, and our ED Troy Gilbert has connected many of our restaurant partners with the program.

We were flattered that CRCL’s Recycling Program Manager Darrah Bach mentioned CB in the article and that McNulty also wrote about our Chefs on Boats program.
